I would like to thank every body who has taken part in 'Northern Scene'. Without the people who have opened up about their interests, experiences and memories this project would not have been possible.

Urban dictionary refers to people from the North East as "the friendliest people in the UK" devoted to football and Greggs. I can honestly say that our Greggs loving - friendly community also shares strong passion for music and sense of support within the music community.

Many musicians and music lovers alike, from vast genres of music, have come together to share their stories and show that the North East has a live music scene worth knowing about!

I would also like to thank all of the photographers who have sent in their personal work to make this project the best it can be! This project has allowed artists of all sorts to come together and showcase their work.
